Letter from the Editor-in-Chief

»... In this issue of D.C. Tracts, our contributors highlight the role for chiropractic care in sports medicine.
Scientific literature indicates that integrating chiropractic care into athletic populations may improve sport performance and musculoskeletal health, and promote injury prevention.

In his Feature Article, Dr. Michael Ciolfi examines the role that chiropractors can satisfy in promoting athletic performance including physiological and psychological support for athletes. Insightful audio lectures from Drs. Scott Howitt and Brad Muir focus on rehabilitation for tendinous and concussive-related injuries. Dr. Muir also evaluates scientific articles investigating musculoskeletal injuries of female athletes, and biopsychosocial influences of well-being within athletic populations. Dr. Brian Gleberzon continues his Juris-Proofing discussion with part 5 of his “unethical practice activities” series, outlining public screenings and X-ray utilization within clinical practice.

I trust that as the reader, you will find this issue of D.C. Tracts both informative and interesting, refining your clinical expertise and patient services.

Best Regards,
Bryan M. Bond, DC, MS, PhD
